THE RIDE: There is no better way we know of to celebrate the lives of our HOG 93 family we have lost than to meet and take a ride together, and remember those members we have lost over the years. This year we are going back to where this annual ride began, Gillespie Dam Bridge; Chosen for a favorite HOG93 son, whom we lost in 2018, and the site of our first member memorial ride in February that same year. We will catch some lunch after in old-town Buckeye.

THE RIDE: Why go to Why? Why not? Granny’s Kitchen is there . . . that’s why. Granny’s offers delicious food out in the middle of nowhere . . . one of our favorite places. The route takes us west of town, then south toward Ajo. Along the way we’ll ride across the historic Gillespie Bridge as well as take a break in Gila Bend, where we’ll play a round of “odometer poker,” with a piece of pottery going to the winning high hand. You’ll have such a good time on this ride that you’ll ask yourself: “Why didn’t we ride to Why earlier?”

Camp Courage is a weeklong event held each year in the cool pines of Prescott Arizona, that helps children with serious burn injuries in an atmosphere predicated upon comfort and friendship. These children can be themselves in groups that are outgoing, friendly and non-judgmental and with counselors who ensure the experience will last a lifetime. This annual camp is provided by the Arizona Burn Foundation at no cost to the children’s families. The campgrounds and activities are made possible each year through generous donations such as yours.
